Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony for EHN

We are proud to have helped Edgewood Health Network (EHN) realize its plans for Bellwood Health Services and the Waterstone Clinic. On Oct. 27, EHN celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the 175 Brentcliffe Road location.

As the Architect of Record on the project, we were tasked with renovating the 77,000 square foot facility, converting it from a public hospital into an exclusive, private short-term facility for addiction treatment and rehabilitation. Additionally, we designed and planned all interior and exterior signage as well as the landscaping.

According to an EHN news release, the newly refurbished hospital will provide a calm, quiet and peaceful therapeutic community for patients, clients, families and staff, designed specifically to be more conducive to a healing environment.

The facility was previously the Donwood Institute. Founded by Dr. Gordon Bell in 1967, it was one of Canada’s first addiction treatment hospitals
